Artisan HonuHeart Designs

Jewelry designer Peggy Waterfall's first visit to Hawaii was a true awakening. Spending time on the Kona coastline, she found herself entranced by the sea turtles basking on the beach and swimming gracefully in the bay. After 23 years as a design engineer and manager for a Fortune 500 information technology company, Peggy decided to move to the Big Island of Hawaii and begin making jewelry. "When I moved to Hawaii," she says, "I named my jewelry company HonuHeart Designs. 'Honu' means 'green sea turtle' in Hawaiian. I have since created a complete line of unique and original images inspired by the beautiful Hawaiian Islands. Each one incorporates a heart in the design to symbolize the Aloha spirit."

"Aloha" encompasses affection, love, peace, compassion and mercy.

Peggy designs all of her jewelry in her Kailua Kona studio and uses 925 sterling silver in every component of her work. Each piece is handmade in the ancient method of lost wax casting and then hand-polished for a brilliant shine.

Look for Peggy's maker's mark, "HHD," as your assurance of exceptional workmanship and original design.
